Resume

10 years post part 2 Architect with strong design and presentation skills. Fluent in many software packages. Able to develop designs and production information quickly particularly using Revit, Sketchup and Lumion visualisation packages. Site experienced however looking to develop construction skills leading to complete the RIBA Part 3.

Personal Profile

I have a strong interest in emerging technologies and software and enjoy investigating how things work usually in my own time. I like crafting and designing things with my 3D printers, laser cutters, VR equipment and developing what they can do. Interested in electronics, I recently fitted electric brushless motors to bicycles to improve cycling. I enjoy photography with a range of equipment such as 360 cameras, DSLR and mini drones. Just getting into astro-photography with various telescopes I have acquired over the years.

To keep fit I enjoy playing tennis, squash, badminton, golf and cycling. I like taking part in pub quizes and generally socialising with a nice ale in hand.

Career

AHR Building Consultancy 2018 - ongoing - Working on major projects within the rail and transport sector. Rail upgrade for the North with Transpire which is a multi company collaboration with various specialists. Working on Huddersfield, Morley, Batley and Dewsbury Stations and working on creating facilities for York Station such as the LNER ticket office. Produced retail units for Euston Station, new staff accommodation in Sheffield and a waiting room for Moreton in Marsh Station in the Cotswold’s. As well as transport, I have worked on projects for Huddersfield University and various school projects. Very proficient in using Revit and other 3D packages to my advantage and producing 3D visualisation to really sell the schemes.

Currently working on MOJ projects, various magistrates courts and prison services. 

Harris Partnership 2015-2018
- Worked on major projects within the retail sector. Southend Retail Park, Tees-side Retail Park, St Stephen’s Shopping Centre refurbishment work in Hull. Clients were British Land and The Crown Estate.

Darnton B3 2013‐2015
Specialised in leisure centres, swimming pools and sports facilities, all projects were worked on Revit to a high BIM standard. Within B3, I assisted colleagues to develop their BIM skills to a professional standard. Use of Navisworks, clash detection, collaborate models between structural and M&E professions, creating workable, amalgamated models.

GWP Architects 2012‐2013
Helped produce many Student housing schemes and well as one off houses, hotel development and various other retail schemes.

EPE International 2013
Working with the EPE Group, as a Senior Digital Graphics/Media Designer. Production of high end graphics, brochures and websites for various companies.

Aedas, Leeds (2008‐2009 Placement & 2009‐2010 Contract) Architecture Assistant (Part l)
Placement year at Aedas Architects, responsibilities were to create professional published documents for bids and competitions. Experience in many stages from feasibility to designs right through to construction, as well as working for different sectors such as retail, schools and master planning. Creating professional design documents whilst meeting major deadlines.

NHS Medical Records Clerk (Summer 2007)
As a medical records clerk, working in a fast paced environment.
